National Wildlife Refuge, Newark

On Saturday D. and I went to the National Wildlife Refuge in Fremont to walk the Newark Slough Trail.  We saw a western fence lizard, former salt ponds being converted back into natural salt marshes, gum plant, black-necked stilts, terns, and lots of cliff swallows feeding their juvenile offspring.  Here are some of the pics I took.
