Day Eleven: Favorite female character in a children’s show - Mrs. Frizzle
Wow, looking back I really didn't watch that many shows aimed at kids. One that I did watch was The Magic School Bus, with the most awesome of teacher, Mrs. Frizzle. For one thing, she had a pet lizard named Liz. (my younger self felt this was REALLY CLEVER) and obviously, she also had a fricken MAGIC BUS. (I realize now that Mrs. Frizzle, like Mary Poppins, was clearly a Time Lord.) She believed in showing her students the world around them, rather than just telling them. So they went on field trips to ordinary places like outer space, and the blood stream. With her you could meet dinosaurs, erupt out of a volcano, and do just about anything.
