This morning I got all upset because in a phone conversation yesterday my grandmother was confused and unable to understand what I was saying. I was telling Steve about it and he said matter-of-factly "She needs a blood test to check her sodium."
"But no Steve, you don't understand, she was all confused and it was so sad

So, SSRIs reduce sodium levels? Is that why I have salt cravings?

Perhaps! Have some of those lovely extra-salty and vinegar-y Kettle chips - best medicine I can think of! And Steve said that whenever he starts anyone on SSRIs he does always does a sodium blood test a week later, so it must be a fairly common side effect.
