Nomie! It's wild. Search online to find out more. Basically, in Amsterdam, prostitution is legalized as sort of a profession. Prostitutes have protection from the government and the sex industry is huge. So in the red light district they have windows lining the streets with girls in them so that people can shop. If there's a red light on in the window and the curtain isn't drawn than that girl is for hire. Crazy hey?

heh, i know what you mean, just going to Italy and Greece on a class trip, we all expected flirting to have evolved, but sadly these poor canadian guys hadn't got the memo.

Heh, sounds like a blast. My friend's cousin was "trying" to quit smoking, so you know what he did? he started adding tobacco to his joints to ween him off it... *cough* he just forgot about the weening part. Now his wife complains that she can't smoke up with him anymore!

The red light district sounds hot! I'm not a big fan of the Dutch from my experiences... but I am glad to hear the Iranian family you're staying w/ is hospitable, and that the guys know how to treat a lady!
