[We're in the red light district!]

Wow. Every day here feels like 6 days, so much is happening. I'm living in the lap of luctury currently, at least compared to what I'll be facing in the next few weeks (eastern european hostels). For a while I was sort of annoyed that we hadn't done any of those typical Holland type things. I had jsut shopped and explored. But 2 nights ago we went to an Amersfoort coffee shop (yes, THAT kind of coffee shop) and got nicely stoned. I swear, no one could even imagine the way they do weed here. In Canada we have these little things no more than the size of your pinkie finger right? Well here, they're the size of 2 thumbs end to end, and packed full. You mix it with a ciggarette so it burns easier and you don't need ot keep lighting it. It's just freaking fabulous. I still think I prefer drinking when it comes to parties and such, but for the right situation, like cruising the red light disctrict it's alright. Which brings me to what we did last night. We (usually refering to Bijan who's been showing me around) picked up his friend Siad and when into Amsterdam smoking in the car (only like a 30  min. drive but we got lost). Hit the red light district, walked through some small allyways where some of the windows are. And one girls has her door open holding a whip and smaked me ass as we walked by. Another whispered in my ear that girls were allowed too. haha, so that's been the highlight of my trip so far. We saw a peep show and hit the very first coffee shop in Holland- The Bulldog (It's now quite the franchise). And then to Burger King which made me realize how much I don't miss American culture. However, everyhting here is sooooo greasy, full of fat, fried.. Bleck. Dutch people aren't healthy at all. However, I'm sort of getting two cultural exposures here. There's the dutch thing, but not so much unless I'm in stores or talking to someone who is (they're really not friendly at all here. No one helps you when you walk into a sotre too. They jsut tell you how much to give them). But the other culture is Iranian. Because I'm staying with Bijan's family, and his friends are mostly from Iran as well. So I'm having lots of curries (very good food) and the biggest thing to get used to for me is that the guy pays for EVERYTHING. It's really nice, I can't help but say I'm starting to get used to it. lol, now my standards are going to be higher for Canadian guys. Esecially when I was with 2, if I wanted something, I got it. wierd. haha. But I'm definatly being treated well here, that's for sure. Tomorrow I leave for Amsterdam to stay in a hostel called Shelter Jordaan downtown. It's cool because I'll be half way inbetween the red light district, dam square, and ledisplien. So I plan on doing lot sof gay clubbing I jsut wish I had someone to party with all the time through my travels. I think that's all I have to say for now ebcause my parents are reading this, haha! But if you want the fabulous dirty details send me an e-mail. Oh and please comment if you can, it's nice to know someone's listening. It's getting a little lonely here on the continent. Okay, caio, Cora.
