Okay, you know what?? It is time for just a little bit of fandom from ME!
Tori Amos just performed her first concert on the American Doll Posse world tour, and from everything I have heard so far, it was fab. It was a concert in Rome and I have to say just how much I simply adore the internet because videos and MP3's are already available. Fab. Simply fab.
I am *so* going SQUEEE right now!
I simply cannot wait till she comes to the US. Come hell or high water, I'm gonna see her at least once on this tour, whatever it takes. I've been lucky enough to see her in concert twice - once in September of 1999 (I've been a fan of hers since about 1995 or 6,) and again in April of 2003. The 2003 concert was simply unforgettable - I was able to get a seat in the orchestra pit, and I got to lean against the stage during Tori's encores. She waved hello to me!
I dunno. I just can't explain what it is about her and her music. There are so many fans who are in a state of ebb and flow in their Tori fandom, but ... I've been a hardcore fan for over a decade now.
You know, I honestly think that I need to study some of my friends' journals more closely - they have fandom down to an art. Or a science, if you prefer! And I love them for it. :) <3
