Book review: The Secret of the Magic eyePad: Putney Hick Inventor Adventures-Book 1 by Marsha Tufft
You learn many things from reading this book; it goes beyond STEAM (yes, that's beyond STEM) subjects as it covers Putney's projects. There's even a mystery: Who stole Putney's eyepad? There is a sort of sub-plot involving underwater hockey--apparently there is such a thing--that some readers may find more interesting than I did. Meanwhile her family is looking for a new home since their move from Alaska. You care about the characters, including her family; but there's an enemy among the students at her new school, along with new friends. There are illustrations showing some of Putney's projects. Every reader can learn something from this book.
