So I got my fees invoice for SAE today.
$2,265 due by March 31st.
*gulp*
I was sure I didn't owe $1000 before I went on holidays. The last three months of the course total at $1200 so I know where that much has come from at least. I think I'm gonna have to take out a loan for like $2000 cos there's no way I can pay that off in time with my wage. Plus the $120 a fortnight that goes into my driving lessons. Singing lessons are $60 a fortnight but I can put those on hold, so that's not a problem.
I just hope Michael doesn't freak out and ban me from booking studio time until I pay up because that would be a disaster. I have seven projects to hand up, six of which have to be done at SAE.
Really, I could pay it off in time with my wage but I couldn't spend any money on anything AT ALL for the next eight weeks. Four pays totals at $2295.88 so I guess I'd have $30.88 left over in the end. O_O
*gulp*
On the bright side my lecturer is a complete and utter LEGEND! I was meant to have my signal flow prac exam today and when he handed me the task I freaked because I had no idea how to do half of it. (Why did they get rid of the analogue desk?! Woe!) So what did he do? Took the paper off me again, telling me that in fact, I had seen no such thing as the exam paper ;), and sat in the studio with me answering any questions I chose to ask him so long as they weren't exam specific. :D
Now I have the test next week, though alas! Craig won't be there. He's taking the full time class for a bit. I love my lecturer.
He's also taken my name down for a work experience gig at WOMAD. Woot! I missed out last time because I had a paid gig to do. (Dental Convention, how boring).
In other sound-type news, the new owner of my music studio is building a recording studio in the back hall! SQUEE! Maybe I can get some work experience from him as well, when it's done. :D
