I think most people - most people being Anakin and perhaps Obi-Wan - wish that I couldn't talk to them. They probably think that, as a rock, I shoudl be seen and not heard.
Yes, I should be seen! But Dammit, I will be heard! How else do you expect me to pass on the information that I am unsatisfied with how I'm being treated? Or how would I talk Anakin out of whatever tree that he's gotten himself into at any particular moment?
I know that my physical self brings comfort and warmth to those that need it. I would like to think that my words bring the much-needed smack upside the head that brings about clarity and refocuses the mind.
And if I fail at that, then hell, I'm a good sounding board for the emotionally distraught. I only talk so the person doesn't think that they're crazier than they really are.
