----------

The sense of being cut off from something good and failing at a life-long dream was persistent and it bothered Ciaran's nap. Honestly, what was going on here? What was wrong with the big Jedi now? He had never known the man who had carried him for so long to ever feel like this...wait, no. Scratch that. He had felt it from him a few years ago when that pipsqueak turned nasty. The big Jedi felt exactly like this then, too. As far as Ciaran knew, things had been fixed and all was cheerful and...oh. Oh. What was this?

...He had a new owner! He had been given away to someone else!

He could feel the despair rolling off the youth as things came crashing down around him. Ciaran sighed as the kid sat in dejected silence. He supposed he ought to do what he did best. There was nothing else he could do, really. So, with a yawn, he responded to the young man by growing Warm. The reaction was nearly instantaneous, as the boy's mood halted, paused and then perked up. Soon he was joyously drawing on the Force and imbuing Ciaran with the most delightful sensations. The rock drank them in greedily, pleased as he made out the feelings behind the images.

He watched as this boy's life unfolded before him and Ciaran felt himself growing quite fond of the kid. Yes, he could get used to him, he supposed.

After all, this child was entrusting Ciaran with his life, his past, and indeed, his future.
