DAY OFF!
It's without pay, mind you; working at a teeny little place sometimes makes it difficult juggling vacations and etc. But today circumstances have so decreed that I get a day off. :)
Daughter #1 is going on a field trip tomorrow to a museum that's approximately a 3 hour drive away, and two of her classmates are going to spend the night here tonight, because we live right in town, close to the school, unlike the other two, who live a bit further out. This comes about because they are leaving on their trip from the school at 7 AM. Tomorrow morning is going to be insanity itself, trying to get four tween-aged girls up, around and out the door. lol Well...three of them have to be at the school by 6:55. Daughter #2 can take her time because she'll have the bathroom to herself and not have to be at the school until 8:30. ;)
I was initially going to just switch shifts with the morning DJ, but he has an appointment in the afternoon and was unable to do that, so one of the weekend girls volunteered to work my afternoon shift today, giving me the day off. :) What it boils down to is lots of laundry, coffee and playing about online, so I figured I'd poke my nose in here. I know, twice in one month is pretty scary, hmm? ;)
Heard news about Mini-Me (Niece #1) who is also in that tween-almost-teen category: She was part of a singing competition thing for area school kids and on a 28-point assessment, scored 26 points! She may be selected for a state-wide choral performance thing, and I just think that's soooo cool. For her age, she really does have a great voice. Very proud of her. :)
One of these days I've gotta take a trip out there and just hang out. Maybe if it actually gets WARM I'll consider wandering that way. The nieces dance recital's coming up soon; that might be a good excuse. :)
And now, off I go to do more laundry, drink more coffee, and chat with people. ;) lol Have a good day everybody...
