Bring on the COFFEE!!! And rambling. And such.

Greetings and salutations. :) *shakes head at self that another month has gone by between posts*

Anyhow! Here I be. There really isn't much to "report" on, but we'll see what I can ramble my way through...

First of all, Greg and I celebrated our remarriage anniversary on the 17th. 6 years since we were remarried, and we celebrated with a "romantic getaway" package at a hotel about an hour give or take away from here. Hot tub, dinner and breakfast included, king-sized bed, nice room. :) We used the birthday money Greg's Mom gave him to do the reservations but it was worth it...just a couple days to ourselves to recharge the batteries and connect a bit apart from the girls. We soaked ourselves pruney in the hot tub, hardly left the room ;) and the meals were really good.

Our original date is this next week and we will likely go out to eat to celebrate that. This year would be 20 years had there been no interruption, so that's a landmark worth celebrating, even if technically we didn't make it. It rather amazes me that I'm old enough to be married for 20 years, to begin with. Amazing. But I do look at it this way: I've been blessed with the same good man, twice. :)

We got Daughter #1 the domesticated pet rats she's been pestering me about for practically a month solid. Apparently she's well over the bunny dying; I was getting the full-court press. Well...now I've crossed over to the 'dark side' and we have a pair of rats in a large fish tank with a metal mesh top. I guess they're not terrible. They don't stink like the bunny or hamsters do, and while one is way, way shy the other one is quite curious and friendly, so that's okay I guess. They still have creepy little beady eyes and the cat is out of joint (he pooped on Daughter #2's bed in protest), but so far, almost a week into their tenure, so good.

Oh, what else. Daughter #1 has made the honor roll for the third time this year...she's a smart cookie and in 6th grade she says she's gunning for Valedictorian when she graduates. I don't doubt she'll be at least in the running. Now if I can just get her to keep her clothes up off the floor and her bed made, we'll be doing good. ;)

Daughter #2 has a small part in the spring school play; she really only has one paragraph of lines to deliver, and they're all at once, but she's excited about it. She's turned in her book report a day early, which has pleased me greatly considering her last one she'd procrastinated til she was scrambling to get it done. :)

Not too much else going on around here. Writing has slowed down to a crawl, but we'll see about kick-starting that again. Have a couple ideas floating around the brain so we'll see if I can pin them down and do something. :)

Okay, gonna run and get around for work. Everybody have a good day! :)
