Our final project in literature is to come up with two songs of the 80s, two songs of the 90s, and two songs of this decade, explaining why each of them captured the mentality of that specific decade. So far, I've chosen to use a yet-to-be-decided Tears for Fears song for 1/2 of the 80s bit, "Palo Alto" by Radiohead for 1/2 of the 90s, and "Detroit, Lift Up Your Weary Head!..." by Sufjan Stevens (perhaps) for 1/2 of this decade. My goal is to have six different artists with six different points of view.
I spent my money on "A Ghost is Born" on vinyl. I have the "Danse Macabre [remixes]" LP on hold. It costs thirty dollars for ten songs, but three discs that are undoubtedly beautiful.
Micah's mother finally decided that letting him attend Fort Hayes for his amazing talents is, in fact, a reasonable decision. Good call, Becky!!
I can't wait for it. My high school career from here on out is hereby declared bearable and- dare I say it- pleasant!
