Progress tidbits for January 15, 2010 and January 17, 2010
"Knock the Chocks"
New words: 872
Total words: 1,638
Deadline: None set in stone
Market in mind: Apex Magazine still, but it could also possibly go to Sybil's Garage now that I am getting a feel for it.
Odd things researched already: camera designs
Distractions: Xbox 360 achievement hunting, microwaving leftover coffee, reviewing the mail, hot chocolate with giant marshmallows
Still a mystery: WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?
Favorite word(s) used so far: siphoned, septic, newsplanes, dream-blogged, vindictively
In future posts, I'll refer to this one as: That first level story accidentally locked on Hardcore difficulty...with mutant beasts!
Right. I wrote a good chunk of the above new word count during my lunchbreak on Friday. I'd love to make that a regular happening, but most of the time I like to use my lunchbreak to eat quietly and/or catch up on TV shows over at Hulu.com. Either way, I'm pretty content with the wordage even though my goal was 1,000 total for the weekend. I'd sit and push out another 100 words or so, but time is of the essence and there's always a thousand and five more things to do. Though, if I was to make an educated guess, I'd say we're halfway through knocking someone's chocks. Mmmhmm...
