Election Day
Those of you unfamiliar with my attitude towards political discussion will need to be enlightened to the fact that I will never disclose who I vote for, regardless of how evident (or not) my preferences may lean. Regardless of how ambivalent my topical discussion may lie, I do decidedly lean one way or another…and I definitely vote.
All I can really have to observe about the election was the staggering result that was unforeseen by, I believe, both major parties even days before the polls opened. I was extremely impressed by McCain's concession speech, even more than Obama's acceptance speech. For a moment, my frustrations with the previous debates melted in anticipation that bipartisanship actually stood a shout.
Naturally, actions speak louder than words, and time will tell if the words filled with hope will be answered by promises filled by action.
