J-web had a nice, long summary of the before/after things that happened for the live broadcast of Music Station (aired October 26, 2007). I won't translate word-for-word, but will jot down the points here! (Just got back from playing 3 hours of soccer so I am exhausted!! haha) Words in italics are my words so don't take them seriously:
---
(BEFORE the show)
- In the dressing room before rehersal, Subaru, Maru and Shota were sitting down and talking. Subaru and Shota were facing each other with their legs on each other's chair. Next to them, Ryo was playing the guitar and singing.
- Ohkura wondered out loud if J-web can be updated more frequently... is he going to update EVEN MORE frequently than he is right now!?!? I can't keep up, haha. Maru said that his "story" he's writing every week on J-web is not going to end within this year... sorry Maru, I haven't read it all yet!
- Two of them were still missing. On Recomen the night before, Yoko had said that he wouldn't be able to attend rehersal because of the drama. Hina however, was just late but was "on his way" to rehersal. Shota responded by saying "Ehhh, Hina-chan is STILL not here!?" in a joking way (because Hina's been late a few times before, like that time for the bus to Nagano).
- Shota and Maru were saying the "jugemu" rakugo out loud (if you see the Rakugo episode of Mugendai no Gimon, I think the jugemu one was the one they were doing) together first at high-speed, then super slowly, and kept on repeating that and laughing innocently (aww). While that was going on, Hina came, out of breath saying "Sorry!" and so the camera rehersal began.
- Subaru and Ohkura were spreading their arms out to measure the distance between the microphones. Ryo started counting "1, 2..." and Shota and Hina joined in to go over the dance. Even during rehersal, the boys were dancing and singing as if it was the real performance.
- In between adjusting cameras and whatnot, they discussed things with the staff for the talk part. The staff asked, "Nishikido-kun, do you want to talk?" Ryo said "Oh man, that's a lot of pressure on me!" and then said "...I don't wannaaaa," haha. The boys laughed at that and Hina of course tsukkomi'd him saying, "You said that so casually!" Hina, as the talk-leader of the group, went on to discuss the talk part with the staff.
- The boys kept on singing the song acapella even off-camera. When they resumed the camera rehersal, Maru kept on screaming "HAA!" during the intro part and tried to figure out how it will sound best; after trial and error, he was able to nail it in the real performance!
- At the end of rehersal, all of a sudden Hina yelled "AH!" and reached out to grab the falling stand-mic. Next to him, Ryo kept on apologizing "Sorry" Sorry! Sorry!" to the staff.
- After camera rehersal, they all went back to the dressing room to check the VTR. Subaru suggested Hina to go one way rather than the other, as they went over their positions. The boys were all cracking up at the weird faces that Subaru made. Ryo said "Toward the end of the song, (Subaru) stops singing rather quickly and waits for the camera with that weird face on... it makes me laugh a lot!" The flapping motion that Subaru did at the end cracked Hina and Maru up as well, as they burst out laughing saying "So dumb!!"
- After the VTR check, the boys were checking out the finalized version of the Tour Photobook and the ad poster that is going to go out in the book stores. As a treat for the boys, they could choose a picture they liked and they could probably have it blown up. So, Ohkura asked Shota, "Yasuuu, if I were to make one of the pictures of the drums blown up, which one should I choose?" (Starting on Nov 1, J-web will have a special section for the Photobook as well!)
- Since there was a little more time before the run-through (rehersal for the entire show), there were some boys that started eating. Ryo got full pretty quickly, and seeing that, Ohkura told him "You can't have left overs." So Ryo retaliated by saying "Oh you'll get mad? How mad? Will you say 'KORA!'? or say 'Cut it out!'?" Ohkura laughed and said "I will!" so Ryo asked Maru for help, "Hey Maru, can you eat this for me?"
- Yoko came right before the run-through. He went over the camera rehersal VTR and went over the dance with Shota. Yoko spoke to Hey Say Jump, who's on Music Station for the first time, and relaxed their nerves. When he was walking back to the guest seats, he sat down in the Hey Say Jump section and got another good laugh from them!
- The run-through went smoothly and they all checked the VTR for that in the dressing room. Shota went over the dance again with Yoko, and this time Ryo came and suggested that they should all go over the dance together since Yoko came. They moved the tables away and went over the formations. Subaru made faces again, so Hina tsukkomi'd him to say "We have to go over that during practice too, eh?"
- The real show is going to start soon! So the boys started doing their hair and make-up. Ryo asked Hina to check if his hair was looking alright. Next to them, Yoko said "Ahh, I wanna just brush my teeth and go to bed," so Subaru tsukkomi'd him saying "This is not your house!" Right before the show, they all visited Hey Say Jump's dressing room to cheer them up.
(AFTER the show)
- The boys kept on saying "Suttokodo! Suttokodo!" and laughing out loud. (FYI: Yoko wanted to say 'suttoko dokkoi' during his story about the Hiroshima massage (see
here for my con report; I've heard this story at least five times, haha) but ended up saying "suttoko doi" haha poor guy, he messed up his tag line!) Yoko said "I was surprised myself!" with his eyes wide opened. Hina cooly analyzed the situation and said, "You rushed a little bit there, eh? Haha."
- During rehersal, all Subaru did during Ryo's solo was to make weird faces... but in the real performance he kissed Ryo's cheek. Their physical contact has been increasing ever since Okinawa! Ohkura murmured, "There's too much of this (kissing) today!"
- Maru was wondering what he should do with his forehead until right before the actual performance. During his solo part, he ended up doing a wonderful "deko-pacchin (slapping his forehead)" and the guys all cracked up watching that scene on the video, saying "That is correct!!!"
- Shota on the other hand was all upset with his solo part, saying "Oh maaan, my voice got messed up!" Maru, Ohkura and Subaru wanted to sooth(!?) him and so kept on imitating his messed up part. "Stoooop!" Shota whined laughingly, but Mr. Positive Hina told him "But it gave the liveliness and I thought it was good! Things happen in live broadcasts!" and the other guys nodded to that as well.

THE END
(WOW that was long, even if was just jotting down the points!)
