Sweet, sweet justice.

A little something that happened this morning that is still making me laugh!

A woman came in this morning around 8:30, and after picking out a bunch of bagels and ordering a latte, she asked:

Lady: "Do you have any french baguettes?"

Me: "Let me check. *checks* No ma'am, we don't have any ready, I can put some in the oven for you and it will take about 22-25 minutes-" She cuts me off and turns immediately from nice to SHE-HULK.

Lady: "YOU NEVER HAVE BAGUETTES WHEN I WANT THEM! I come in once a week and they ARE NEVER READY when I get here! This is a SERIOUS ISSUE, WHY AREN'T THEY READY?!?!"

Me: "Well ma'am, the baguettes are best when they're very fresh so we don't begin to bake them until about 10am when people start to order lunch. If you know you're going to be coming by this early you can always call and we'll bake the baguettes for you so that they're ready when you ge-" I get cut off again.

Lady: "I DO NOT WANT TO CALL! I want them READY when I GET HERE IN THE MORNING. How HARD is that for you people to understand?!"

I offer to her once more to have some put in the oven and she refuses, and says "I'll just go to Publix (grocery store with a nice bakery) since they know how to satisfy their customers!"

I was a little miffed, and my manager went ahead and put some baguettes in the oven so we wouldn't have to go through that again with somebody else. About 45 minutes after She-Hulk left, she came storming back into our cafe. Sure enough, she got me as her cashier. I was just as SWEET as I could be to her, as she humbly asked if we had any baguettes. I told her yes, they just came out of the oven, and she bought two. She quietly thanked me and sulked out.

Turns out Publix doesn't make any baguettes until 11am either. XD!
