Well! The wedding's over and done with and I've finally made it to the sunny and warm shores of Tampa Florida. I'm only here until Thursday, which means that it's only a four day stay here, but it's nice to finally be able to take some time to relax after how busy Seattle was.
Where to start? I guess my last post ended with me talking about Pies and Pints ya? It was the usual type of food there and Bub and I played a round of pool. She lived up to her nickname 'Bubby-Two-Shots' - which means that she either often missed her balls, or she pocketed the white or my balls, and thus giving me two shots XD;; I was doing rather well and got down to my two final balls to pocket... unfortunately though I did end up losing the game because I accidentally pocketed the black ball =_=;; she had a good laugh over that, but it was a rather enjoyable game :D
The following day saw us all up early and Bub, Jen and myself down at the damn salon getting our hands and feel done for the wedding. While I'll never get another mani/pedicure done again in my life (they're just not my thing) I have to admit that they were actually kind of relaxing >___>;;; but that was probably the massages we received XD After awkwardly shuffling out of the salon 1.5 hours later, we made our way to one of Kelly's friends places for the bridal shower. That wasn't too bad, and I didn't mind catching up with Aparna since she's always a laugh.
After we'd finished there we had the fun trip down to get our spray tans done... I tell you what that was the most frustrating thing I've done so far on the trip =\ For starters I had to take my earrings out (something I never do) and when you have three in each ear it's a little tedious, but I did that without complaint and then went in to the room to get things started. After becoming 'all-set' to get this stupid thing done I hold my hand over the sensors to open the door... alike so:
Ozzy: -holds hand over sensor-
Door: Door Open -door begins to open-
Ozzy: -continues to hold hand in position-
Door: Door Close -the door begins to close after three seconds-
Ozzy: -growls and allows door to close before holding hand over sensor-
Door: Door Open -the door begins to open again-
Ozzy: -now holding hand very still over sensor-
Door: ...Door Close -stupid door begins to close again-
Ozzy: -eyes narrow while growling again and holds hand VERY..no no... EXTREMELY and not to forget STUPIDLY still over sensor while muttering- stupid friggin' door
Door: Door Open -door opens and finally allows me to enter.
So after such a wonderful experience I went into (what I now dub as) the modern day gas chamber, and was gased to near-death with said spray tan. Once that little task was complete I stepped out of the machine and went to close the door so I could get over to the towels and such:
Ozzy: -holds hand over sensor-
Door: Door Close -door begins to close-
Ozzy: -continues to hold hand in position-
Door: Door Open -the door begins to open after three seconds-
Ozzy: -growls as eyes narrow while door re-opens before holding hand over sensor-
Door: Door Close -the door begins to close again-
Ozzy: -holding hand very still over sensor-
Door: ...Door Open -stupid door begins to open again-
Ozzy: -eyes narrow while growling again and holds hand VERY..no no... EXTREMELY and not to forget STUPIDLY still over sensor for a SECOND TIME while muttering- stupid friggin' door hates me. Stupid machine, never gonna use it again.
Door: Door Close -door closes and finally allows me to get to the towels and such.
I tell you... I'm much happier with my white legs and arms than to EVER to up with that shit again =\ I don't care if I'm that white I'm almost see-through! It's a lot less stressfull than that =| Anyway! After getting mocked by my sisters (since they could hear everything the machine was saying in the room they were in) we jumped into the car and went back to Kelly's place for a huge BBQ. The rest of the night was pretty uneventful and we eventually got back to the hotel around midnight.
The next day started off a little relaxing at least, and we didn't actually head out to do anything until after 11am (which was wonderful) after all of that started, however, it was busy again until midnight =\ We needed to do some last minute shopping for the wedding for things to go with our dresses, and after completing that, we had the wedding practice to go through. The most exciting thing about the practice was when the freight tran drove by on the bridge near the venue and was transporting the bodies of planes along with its cargo. HOMG that looked pretty awesome! Then after freezing our asses off there we ran off to our 'practice' dinner - which consisted of Indian food and two segregated tables (with my family being entirely segregated from the other and my sister-to-be-wed). That part was pretty boring, and I've definitely had better Indian food, but we finally managed to get out of there and head back to the hotel to collect our things and dump it over at Kelly's house where we were staying for the rest of our trip.
After an early night we were up early on the actual wedding day and down to the hairdresses... on the way there we went through sun, rain, hail and then more rain before finally reaching the hairdresses salon. Two hours later everyone had their hair all 'fancily' done (mine was half up and down with some curly thing done at the back and bangs of it) and we left back to the car with sunshine on our backs. We get back to the house to have lunch and get in to our dresses, and all the while it goes through the cycle of hail, snow and sun. Just after the photographers got there, however, it began to snow-hail. Yes snow-hail. And we have to wear heels and sleeveless dresses to an outside (but undercover) wedding ceremony D: It was more hail/snow, but still, it was too friggin' cold for a dress and bloody high-heels if you ask me! That's not to mention that with the make-up I had one, the dress I wore and the hair, my dad continually sang 'Stop in the name of the~ (and so forth)' by the Supremes since I apprently reminded him of their style =|
So after a barrage of photos done in the house, we left it with the odd spit of rain and down to the limo (I don't like limos now I've decided) and travelled to the hotel to get further photos taken with the groom and groomsmen. Although I still hate photos, it was a rather entertaining time... only because of the fact that while the guys were having their photos done in the bar (while they snuck in an alcoholic beverage) My sisters and myself were randomly dragged in to a perfume store by the owner and forced to be drenched in scents she believed suited our look and personality. Kelly got the fragrance worn by 'Grace Kelly' on her wedding day, while Bub was drenched in a fragrance that reminded the woman of Audrey Hepburn. Jennifer got the nickname 'Chinatown' along with her perfume since she was seen as trouble-making and mischievious. I don't know what one I was drenched in, but apparently I was considered as 'Sultry' and given a perfume that depicted such things D: I mean... WTF?! I'm the last person anyone would call 'sultry' and this woman was like 'yes that's what you are'
The rest of the afternoon consisted of even more photos before we eventually dropped the groomsmen off at the wedding venue. While they got to be in a nice and warm environment we were stuck running in to a little coffee shop to have further photos taken D: The good thing about that was by then we were all starving and we managed to get a single piece of banana bread to share between the four of us ♥ man that so totally hit the spot <3 After braving the near-freezing weather outside for further photos it started pissing down with rain before we could reach the limo =| So with a mad dash we piled in to the stretched car and made our way back to the venue. Fortunately the guys were there with umbrellas to shield us from the rain as we dashed to get undercover (lucky bastards not having to freeze their asses off) and finally we were ready to start the ceremony!
Jen was paired up with Pat's older brother Ron (what a winner that guy is D: while bub was paired up with his best friend Mike, and I was with Judd. (I'm surprised I was actually able to remember their names... go me! -is terrible with names-) We all walked in and did what we were meant to do (stand there and freeze our asses off) all the while trying to ignore my father sitting in the front row. He decided to be an ass and try and make us laugh with stupid expressions thrown our way =_=;; It was all fine and dandy though after averting thy eyes ;D So after freezing our asses off the ceremony was complete and we all went back inside.
Not even 2 minutes after returning back inside there was a huge clap of thunder and the sky opened up with not hail nor rain... but snow... yes snow. So you can imagine the scenerio. All of the Australian's visiting fore-went congratulating the bride and rushed over to the window to view this event while the Canadians and Americans laughed at us and went about doing their thing >_>;; whaat? Seeing actual snow is a downright awesome sight to see when you come from a land where rain is a rare event =_=;; hehe I thought it was awesome ;D
Anyway! After some further photos and socialising it was time for the Groom/Brides and the Bridal party had their entrance in to the dinner area and sat down. Jen went first along with Ron. From what I hear they simply sat down with nothing else. I went in next with Judd and after we arrived he was kind enough to pull the chair out for me before he took a seat (something Ron didn't do for Jen >_>) Bub came in with her partner Mike and he did the same thing (poor Jen got jipped lulz) and finally the married pair came in afterwards.
I won't bore you with details of the actual food since it wasn't that flash, but after the speeches, meals and slideshows and such, it came time for the newly-married couple to 'share their first dance'. THey danced and I was like... gah! next will be the stupid bridal party to join them -can't dance for shit- and when the time came and the guy announced his stuff... it was simply 'everyone to the dancefloor' I was secretly happy about that since it meant that I got out of dancing -coughs- Well that was what I thought before I saw Judd standing in front of me and asking me to dance D: Of course I could hardly say 'no, bugger off' and be on my way... so I accepted and had to dance with him. First off I have to say it was rather enjoyable (even if it's so totally not my thing), and I did have a rather fun time dancing with him as well ^o^ I didn't even step on any toes or anything! Go me! -happy dances- Secondly he was rather nice and fun to talk to... even if parts of it was the whole 'awkward' conversation that you have when you know nothing about the other lulz
So I was both happy and slightly disappointed when that finished and the more modern/dancey music came on... since I only dance to that type when I'm either a) hyper-active, or b) drunk off my face >_>;; He did go off and get me my very alcoholic drink of coke on ice (lulz) before I was pulled in for a dance with my sisters and cousins. It was highly amused when I looked around and 90% of those on the dancefloor were my relatives >___>;;;
The rest of the night consisted of signing the book, sore feet, chatting with randoms, and then gathering everything up before heading on home for the night.
I finally made it to that anime shop in Seattle that my sister directed me to. It was good, but Shin was better with range and stock. I did finally got my Reno figurine though ♥ After much packing and stress back at Kelly's house, we finally made our way to the airport for our trip from the high west coast, to the low east coast of America. The flight was pretty typical and with some slight trouble with the taxi driver, we finally managed to get back to my parents home (two hours before them).
What was the first thing I did you ask? It was to stalk and locate this:
Poor Kitti was left alone for 9 whole days while my parents weren't around, and the person they asked to cat-sit her only came around once throughout the entire time... and that was on the MONDAY (three days after they left). I mean... who the hell does that?! We've dog-sat her stupid mutts twice now and had to go everyday and all to feed and play with the smelly things, and all she does in return is go over to our place once to check up on Kitti. It's not like they live far away either! Only a 5 minute walk at the absolite most! I was severely disappointed when I heard that, and slightly angry >_> it was no wonder Kitti was so purry and smoochy when she realised that we were actually home.
My god she's so damn cute ♥
Well I think that's about all of my news. I've just been relaxing here and playing smash brothers (and getting addicted to it) and guitar heros. It's pretty much what I'll be doing tomorrow as well I'm sure... since Mum and co are heading out to the mall to go clothes shopping... something I don't want to do >_>;;; today they were out for like 5 hours doing it D:
Anyway! I'm off to play more smash brothers before bed
