Good evening or morning, depending on what timezone you're in, and welcome to the 134th edition of "bored off my ass at work". I know you all have been waiting for this eagerly, especially with my updates being so few and far between. I'm trying to make it a little more frequently but I have a lot to do. Also, it hasnt been determined what actually happened at that party. Students told the cops that the goat was going to be used for hazing, but rumors aren't uncommon in colleges. I do know that that frat doesnt even do rush, so I dont see why they would need to haze people to begin with.

Then again, I wasnt there, so I don't know.

If you take hazing out of the fraternity then you essentially take out what has become a custom. Rush or no rush, the initiation has become a pinnacle of all fraternity and sorrority chapters. Whether it be lesbian sex, goat fucking, drinking one of your frat brother's piss, whatever have you, it's just become one of those understood things that has to occur.

Well, in that case, I wasnt made to go through any kind of actual "hazing". Although, I can't really say that either, because even if I was I wouldnt be allowed to talk about it...

Although perhaps being made to go to parties and drink can definitely be seen as hazing...And I definitely know of certain frats and sororities that have some pretty hardcore hazing rituals...

There's always a good side to going Greek though. Alumni connections, scholarship opportunities, leadership experience, etc. And yes, I was trained to respond like that whenever someone asks why I went Greek. No joke.

Blah. I'm torn.

Damnit, ask me for the truth when I go alum in two years when I gradiate!

Btw, I do think that using animals as part of hazing is disgusting, and that chapter got off raellu easily by just being suspended.

yeah, I didn't go through anything even resembling hazing when I was in, and I never did anything to anyone after that point either...i know you can say "well of course i wouldn't be allowed to talk about it" yadda yaddaa..but i'm an alumni, and i'd say something fearless of what the fraternity could do!! but jarrod also knows me very well, and he can state for me that i am not a person to let someone abuse me so i can be accepted...i wouldn't stand for that shit and therefore wouldn't be a part of the organization in question....just stating the facts..sorry..tangent country HO!!!!!
