Wyatt Cain knew something was wrong the second he walked into the tavern. First, it was too quiet. Second, Josh and Simon were alone and whispering while Ted was stacking glasses in the back corner.

Turning, Wyatt looked at the clock and wondered where Travis and Garrett were - as they were never late for the "study group", as Josh had been calling it. All right, that was the only way he could get out of the house without giving his mother a long explanation.

Simon nodded at whatever Josh had just said and looked up at the same moment Cain grabbed Josh's shoulders. "SONOFA!" Josh hissed as Cain smiled and patted his head. "Don't do that to me," Josh demanded as Simon chuckled and reached over to pat Cain's arm.

"Where's-?" Cain asked, nodding to the two empty seats across from him. Josh tried to hide the snort, but failed miserably.

"They're in the back," Simon said, turning slightly to look over his shoulder. Cain looked in the same direction and nodded to Ted as the barman headed over with a tankard.

"Thank you, Ted," he said, taking the grog and holding it up to his mouth. "Why?" he asked Josh before taking a sip. Josh leaned back in his chair and Cain noticed that his young friend was turning a bit red.

"Well, you remember the other day when your brother said he wanted to go to the other- our side?" he stumbled and pointed between Simon and himself. Cain nodded.

"I also remember telling them that they would stand out over there," he said, shooting a glance to Simon, who was chuckling. Something told Cain to worry and he set the tankard down. "What did you do?"

"I'm simply proving a point," Josh exclaimed, holding his hands up defensively. "Your brother said that he could blend in anywhere."

"As did your father," Simon added with a nod. Cain remembered the conversation, and decided that he was, in fact, right to worry. Closing his eyes, Cain rubbed at his eyes for a moment and then shook his head. At least he couldn't say that his life was boring.

Reaching for the tankard again, Cain took a swig as Travis and Garrett came around the corner with loud voices. Cain saw Simon turn back, and Josh leaned forward against the table, hiding his bright smile. Mid-swig, Cain turned in the direction of the voices and damn near choked at the sight of the elder Cain men.

As he couldn't swallow the alcohol, Cain opted to spit it out and barely got the tankard to the table as he turned away and tried to stop coughing. The problem was that he was laughing too hard. Cain squeezed his eyes shut and bit his lip, trying to contain himself, but there was no use.

He turned slightly and leaned into his hand, using it to shield his view for a moment, then dropped his hand to cover his mouth and turned the rest of the way to get another look at them. That was a bad idea, because he had to turn back and glare at Josh again.

"So?" Garrett threw up his arms and smiled, "We look good, right?" Cain pushed his chair back and leaned forward to laugh harder, praying he didn't fall out of the chair. Travis frowned, knowing that the reaction they'd received was probably not a good one, and glared at Garrett when he turned, still smiling and pointing to the group, and reached up to pop his son on the back of the head.

"Ow," Garrett said as Travis stepped around him and headed for the table. Garrett pouted for a moment and rubbed the back of his head before he headed over to the table to join the others.

"All right," Travis said gruffly as he pulled a chair out. Wyatt sat up and wiped the tears streaming from his eyes and laughed again as he started to calm down.

"What? I like it," Garrett said defiantly, as he looked down to the shirt and sat down next to his father. "He said this is how everyone on the Other Side dresses," Garrett said, nodding to Josh. Cain looked at Josh who nodded.

"And why aren't you wearing one?" Cain asked, curious to see how fast the boy could think. Josh was a step ahead of him and pointed to his Chargers shirt.

"There was a game today," he said with a shrug.

"And I just don't have the shoulders," Simon said matter-of-factly. Cain rolled his eyes and took another look at his brother but had to look away as the pattern was making him dizzy. A second later, Cain snapped his fingers and pointed to Josh, then grinned.

"I think I just figured out how to repel Coop..."
