Remus Lupin generally had the perfect thing to say to those around him. People looked to him for advice, to soothe tension, to negotiate. His was the voice of reason, which ought to have been at complete odds with the violent, passionate part of his nature, but somehow it worked.
Most of the time.
This, however was something he was unable to reason out, something he could barely even get his mind around. He wanted her, for many reasons, none of which actually made sense to his logical self.
And odder still, he began to suspect she wanted him too.
