EIDT: Um ... if this seems familiar to anyone, it's because I've already posted it here, a couple of years ago. I meant to put this up on

Is it the weather and the sads or have things in general just been bad?

But there's also the fact that I've been madly trying to get stuff done, and there's always something interfering. Not to mention something breaking, or breaking me, as in when I fell over the vacuum cleaner and both happened. Cleaning the carpets was a huge thing: Every time I'd plan for a day to do it something would come up. The last straw was Friday, when I finally fired up Vinny's carpet cleaner and it stopped working within minutes; it took an afternoon for Vinny to get it fixed. Sunday I spent the whole day (after shoveling) cleaning house, and then I get ready to go to work Sunday night and the car won't start. Now I'm at work, and the car is sitting there at home with -- something -- wrong with it. And I'm supposed to leave in three days to pick up Emily.
So yeah, I'm stressed. But otherwise, everything's fine. :-)

Sorry about all the craziness happening to you. I know the feeling of trying to get stuff done and something always getting in the way.You should see this place. (No, no one should!)I hope you able to get a way to pick up Emily in the most efficient and cost effective way possible, hopefully by being able to get your car fixed without going into debt.
Peace on earth
BTW, since I didn't get to it before, Happy Thanksgiving!

I started to suspect somethng when I remembered that Jillian almost ran the car out of gas the other day. So I put in a battle of Heet, surrounded the car with plywood and cardboard to shield it from the wind, set two space heaters to warm up the engine -- and sure enough, it was a frozen fuel line. Definitely could have been a lot worse -- the repair cost me about two bucks!

Whew! How cheap can a repair be? Glad you got it figured out. :-)
