I get migraines, but of the non-classical type, meaning I don't have the sparkly lights. The sparkly lights did happen to me once without the headache, so I went to my optometrist, and he explained that the sparkly lights happen to most people with migraines. I'd rather have the sparkly lights than the headache.

There was really no point to that story.

Actually, it was reassuring! It's good to know that I can anticipate a wide and exciting variety of symptoms! ;-)

Yes, my favorite symptom is the vomiting. Especially, the repeat vomiting. It takes excitement to a new level of fun.

One advantage of the white out on your vision is that it's often the first sign that tells you to take something asap (and drink lots of water).

By the way, over the counter migraine medicine is usually a combination of aspirin, generic tylenol and caffeine. It's usually overpriced. I prefer to cheat and just take separate aspirin and generic tylenol pills with some coffee or soda. Prescription migraine medicine often adds codeine or something similar. You could probably check with the local pushers at your neighborhood school for a discount. *weg*

Oh there will be NO vomiting. Ever. :-P

And dude! I'm married to a doctor, so I've got an *in house* pusher. ;-) However, good to know about the codeine: I've got some Canadian Tylenol with codeine and next time I start to feel crappy, I will take those with an iced coffee straight up!

First of all, your husband is not your *in house* pusher. As a doctor, he's actually your piggy bank/slush fund. Therefore, you don't want to risk your piggy bank's medical license for a few quick pills under the table. Nope, that's what your daughter's schoolmates are for.

*laughs* Isn't it great that we have such a wholesome perspective on all of this!?! :-D

(But for the record, my husband is a HUGE stickler for keeping to the rules where prescribing meds is concerned. And the kids have college funds from their grandparents. So I guess, for the most part, I'm sitting pretty unless I need a scrip!! LOL!)

Who ARE you, by the way!?!?

We met at SJBW3. But I'm not sure that we've actually been at the same SweePer event since. Of course, if my memory was still intact, I might recall.

To jog your memory (so you can know whether to ban me from here *weg*), this is an OldManFan picture from SweePer's Virginia trip this summer -- LenS and someone much better looking in a cave

Mr. Genevieve's Lucie?! I love it. Sadly, I'm just Genevieve's Lucie friend these days. Though, I am still Genevieve's & Lucie's Long Trip Chauffeur. *g*
