I looked at my watch. "Oh hey, guys," I began, putting my guitar back on it's rack. "I have to scoot, I need to pick up all my registration packages for class." I unplugged the amp leads, and wound them up quickly and tightly.
"Hey, Oz, man, you didn't do all that jazz this morning?"
Devin? Organised? "No, colour me behind the eight ball." I grabbed my wallet and headed out the door. "Great practise though, guys, next gig, we'll have them dancing in the street." I could hear Devin behind me as I headed down the corridor. "But, if they're dancing in the street, we'll have to have our gear up really loud, won't we?". I smiled and rolled my eyes.
Thankfully I knew my way around campus. I managed to hit everywhere before it closed. It was kind of refreshing being the only non-flustered person in a mess of confused people. Although it did lead to being asked for directions a lot.
I only had my ID left to get photographed for. I glanced at my watch again, and began heading over to the building. I wondered whether it would be worth waiting now, or just going tomorrow. Still, I was here, I may as well check it out.
