Yesterday Bob and I went to SF. We had a blast! I got my right arm sunburned though, because the whole way there I had my arm out the window. Ouch. hehe
We went to the Embarcadero/Fisherman's Warf In-N-Out cuz I thought that Bob would enjoy the design of the store (he did). We then went to the Metreon and wandered a bit, and stopped in at the SF MOMA gift store and browsed for a bit. Then we headed to Union Square and shopped around at Urban Outfitters and FCUK (although we were good and didn't buy a thing). Then it was off to the Fillmore for the concert!
There were two opening groups: The Aisler's Set and The Clean. The Aisler's Set wasn't too bad ... but The Clean was horrible! I couldn't wait for their set to be over (sadly, they performed for around 45 minutes). Then it was Yo La Tengo's turn. They were really good. Their set lasted almost 2 hours, so we didn't get out of there until like 1am. On the way home we picked up Jayme and Jontu in Vallejo, and then headed back to Sac. On the way through Fairfield, Bob got a ticket ... he was doing 88 in a 65 zone. :-(
We got home around 3:30am, and Bob was so tired that he just spent the night here. I just left him here sleeping this morning cuz Jayme and I had to get up and go to orientation at 10am. It lasted 3 hours (and we were paid for it, so that's good). Overall it was interesting. There were 7 of us there: 5 guys and 2 girls (two of the guys were pretty cute, too! haha). Karina, the sales manager, told us we should feel proud to be there because of the volume of applications that they receive (around 12 a day). Jayme and I actually do feel pretty good that out of around 80 - 100 applications a week, she and I got hired as servers without any serving experience (and I'm sure some of those people applying have serving experience). We have our training all next week ... Monday - Friday, and then Sunday as well. About 5 hours a day. It feels great to be working again!
I came home from orientation at about 1:15pm (after Jayme and I spent some time in the parking lot talking to one of the cute guys from the orientation), and I found Bob still asleep. He drug himself out of bed, and about 45 minutes later Natalye and her friend showed up. They hung out and watched Scotland, PA. with us. It was nice to see Natalye again ... she needs to come to Sac more often. hehe :-P
Well ... that's all for now. About to head to Jayme's to go swimming. Buh bye.
