Cruz really needs to tell someone, but it will be a huge burden for whoever he tells. Casey would have to go to the police - I don't know about the other guys, if they'd feel they had to. Such a ghastly situation.
You know, I had that same thought during that scene with Mouch and I thought that actually, of all the guys he could tell, Mouch may be the one that wouldn't go to the police and that handles it maybe better than the others. I don't think either Otis or Herrmann could handle that emotional burden and Casey or Boden would have to go to the police, but Mouch might be the guy to tell. I don't think Cruz ever will tell anyone though.
I don't approve of hiatuses - they should have 52 episodes a year! Okay, 51 - I'll give them a week off at Christmas, because I'm generous.

The icon does look a wee bit pixelated on my monitor - maybe save it as a png file, as they tend to be higher quality than jpg files? I can have a look at the screencap for you if it'll help - I have Photoshop.
I used to have Adobe Photodeluxe and it was wonderful. All I have on this computer now is just Paint and it sucks. I can't even black-n-white things.
This is the picture I snagged from the internet to use. Sometimes my icons come out looking fine and sometimes they come out all pixelated and I have no idea why. I was always better at making wallpapers. If you have time to look at it, that would be awesome, but if not, no problem - I can always use that icon of Severide's back/shoulder that you made cuz there ain't nothing wrong with that at all. ;)
OMG, BABE! These are perfect - just what I was trying for! I really wanted a black n white one but like I said, I don't even that ability with my current program, so these are even better than perfect. Of course, that said, I immediately uploaded the second one because the coloring on that combined with the upclose shot of Kelly's face - JFC, yes.
Now I am in even more withdrawal on this mini-hiatus than I was before! Damn.
I'm going to have to look into GIMP though, thank you. I keep saying the next thing I purchase will be a good photo/art program, but then I buy other things instead. /shakes head/

I used to use Paint, when I made my very first icons - it is very limited! Have you tried that free program, GIMP? Might be worth a try.
Anyway, I made a few quick version of that image - not an easy one to colour, so I did black and white as well. Don't feel obliged to use them though!
