It's amazing the difference an encouraging comment makes. One awesome piece of feedback on a story, and suddenly I'm back to work on my yuletide story, and believe I can do it! And I've just tried for a pinch hit and I'm not sitting here thinking 'omg, why did I just do that'.

Yay for comments and feedback!

I'm always a bit surprised when I see writers whose work I love, are having self-doubts re: writing. I shouldn't be, because, well, we're all people but there you go. Which is to say: you can totally do it and I think your yuletide giftees will be very pleased you wrote them something. I know I'd be anyway :)

It just made all the difference, especially as the commenter took the time to say what they liked, so I was revelling in the feeling of having done well.

And thank you too, for the encouragement - it really does mean more than I can adequately say!

I now I must go and find your Chicago Fire post, because I'm all overwhelmed for poor Vargas and Joe. A little underwhelmed by Casey and Severide's discussion about his shoulder/neck, but I guess I was hoping for fanfic filmed! *g*
