Been a while since I've done a writing roundup. Sometime in 2009 I think... So, a catch up post. And while I'm here, what better time to thank the awesome lazy-daze for being my writing partner/taskmaster, encouraging me, faithfully keeping me on track, and occasionally threatening me with dire consequences if I don't set to and write! Happy birthday, Sam - have a great one!

And happy birthday to the very lovely nightanddaze - may your day be as beautiful as your writing.

Selectively Blind [The Gates, Nick/Dylan, PG-13, 6,167 words, Aug 2010.]
"I'm not sure which is the harder aspect of acclimatizing to The Gates: vampires and werewolves, or the frequency and tedium of the parties."

serpentine smile [Doctor Who, Eleven, Amy, Vincent, PG, 3,047 words, Aug 2010.]
Not what she was expecting. He paints sunflowers. And cornfields. And swirling, magical starry nights. Not nude Scottish girls. She'd be naked in the Musée d'Orsay. That'd be-

catch a glimpse (of me and you) [Southland, John/Ben, PG-13, 1,042 words, Aug 2010.]
Ben's good at catching all sorts of things.

the geometry of life: a story in two parts [Generation Kill, Brad/Nate, NC-17, 13,310 words, Aug 2010.]
This is the story of two men.

Never Again (or, four times Veronica and Ted have sex for the last time ever) [Better Off Ted, Ted/Veronica, with a side of Lem/Phil, R, 616 words, July 2010.]
Ted knows this look. It says 'I hate losing to you but I'm incredibly turned on and I want to let my hair down and have crazy hot sex with you right this second'. There's only one possible response.

stole my life from a wandering man [Supernatural/Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dean/Faith, Dean/Faith/Sam, mentions of Faith/Buffy and Sam/Ruby, NC-17, 4,330 words, June 2010.]
She's frozen in a high kick; he's staring at her crotch. He'd like the moment to last longer. Or at least end differently.

I'm a non-believer, but I'll pray to you every day [Supernatural, Sarah Blake, brief Sam/Sarah, PG, 1,312 words, May 2010.]
You have to believe a lie that big.

Imprint [Generation Kill, Brad/Nate, Ray, Victor One, R, 3,321 words, May 2010.]
Everybody who matters lives today.

The Music Thief [Generation Kill, Ella, Lord Fick/Mr. Colbert, AU, G, 1,364 words, May 2010.]
He's not looking at anyone, just some distant point that might be anywhere in the world, but Ella just knows he's singing all for Mr Colbert.

Good for the Constitution [Sherlock Holmes (2009), Holmes/Watson, R, first time, 5,081 words, April 2010]
"I would have thought that, as a doctor, you would have been interested in my experiment," Holmes says, with the tone of a disappointed schoolmistress whose prize pupil has just made an utter hash of reciting his seven times table in front of the headmaster and school inspector.

Breathing Him In [Stargate Atlantis, John/Rodney, R, 305 words. Written for Porn Battle IX, January 2010]
Rodney's covered in red dust, the whites of his eyes incongruously bright, and John just can't help himself.

Dare, Double-Dare [NCIS, Timothy McGee/Tony DiNozzo, R, 647 words, written for Porn Battle IX, January 2010]
Tim ups the stakes and goes for broke.

her body a bell [Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Buffy/Faith, NC-17, 1,208 words, written for Porn Battle IX, January 2010]
Faith has an apartment now, up six flights of stairs with no elevator, but she likes what it does for her thighs.

Taboo [Castle, ensemble, G, 1,841 words, January 2010]
In which Ryan and Esposito pass the brocolli test, Castle shouldn't be allowed to have the buzzer, and Alexis is devious.

Zombies, Superheroes and Fucking Angels [Generation Kill, Brad/Nate, AU, R, 1,576 words, January 2010]
It's a crayon drawing of him and Nate, holes in the corners as though it's been tacked to a wall. There's no doubt it's them, even though the two stick figures are crudely drawn and appear to have wings. Or possibly capes - Brad can't be sure.
