Everyone is friend or foe. If you aren't for, you're against. There's no gray in Buffy's life, just black and white. And red.
Until now.
Faith's hair is midnight-black, her skin pale, lips crimson. But this is neither right nor wrong. Buffy doesn't know what shade this moment is, but she knows they can't stop, not when Faith is crooning in her ear and she's tasting salt in the crook of Faith's neck and fingers are slipping inside and they're shuddering at the wash of warmth and the power sizzling through them.
They're not friends, but they aren't enemies anymore.
