Hotlink alert (again!)
I'm being plagued by hotlinkers again, most of them on Xanga this time. One ***** person has posted 32 of my icons! So instead of getting something productive done this afternoon, I'm having to track down the little thieves, leave messages all over the place, and put up more bandwidth theft icons in place of the ones they're hotlinking. I've already reported one person to Xanga, as she removed my comment but left the icons up! So far they've not done anything though.
If you've posted Veronica Mars, Smallville or the O.C. icons recently, check out this post. I recognise a lot of the work (sincecure, dtissagirl, hey_lena, crushedviolet, dorky_duck and yumeiro, and there are a lot of others I don't recognise).
Some of the other hotlinkers are Iconz_00, Cheybear22 and X3ic0nz_00yea (the user names might give you a clue as to the mental age of the hotlinkers!).
At least they're all English speakers this time, but for future reference, would any of you who speak languages other than English be willing to help me compile a list of messages in assorted languages, either to put up on sites, or to email to hotlinkers? I'd be happy to host a master list on my site for reference. Any suggestions for suitable messages would be welcome too, but please keep them reasonable.
ETA: Apparently my earlier post disappeared for a while. So if you're after gradients, screencaps, textures or music, it's all here in one big goody bag.
ETA 2: OMG, how can I have forgotten to rec cross-dressing Snape! I commissioned a sketch from fiendling a little while ago, as a present for fandomstuff, and she well and truly came up trumps. It's based on a dream fandomstuff had... *g*
