What an excellent quiz!! I AM SO HAPPY THAT CHEMISTRY APPEARED AT THE BOTTOM because today I kept seeing people either talking about or studying chemistry and finding myself saying: "I am never EVER taking Chemistry ever again."

What a wonderful day. Except that a) I really am overwhelmingly sensitive to any whiff of smoke and it stays in me forever and causes my throat to feel funny and my voice to go awry and a yucky aftertastelike taste in my mouth; and b) after my Rochester interview, I don't really want to go to Rochester anymore. Maybe it's because my interviewer and I were pretty different people. I have come to believe that alumni really reflect what the college is like (which is why Barnard is amazing because my interviewer was amazing).

I asked my Rochester interviewer what the city of Rochester was like and how the relations between the university and the city are, and he ended up telling me that there are a lot of parks and that there is a mall, but there are a lot of empty stores because the owners moved out. I asked him how he thinks Rochester changed him, and he tells me that he used to be really introverted (he referenced the Myers-Briggs test!! ESFJ represent!) and that he became less scared to speak and developed skills, and I was like "Oh, that's so great because I definitely want a college that will help me to transform and strengthen my weaknesses and cultivate my strengths," and he was like, "Well, I wouldn't necessarily say that Rochester was what changed me." And I was like "Oh." And then when I asked him if he could name any negatives about the school, he was like "Well... I guess everyone worked too hard, and I wasn't really a hard worker, so it was hard for me to socialize." And I mean.. I don't want to be around people whose lives are focused around studying, which sort of turned me off too, but I wouldn't rationalize it because I identify myself as a slacker.. And then when I asked about internship opportunities, he started talking about how he never had to do an interview in his life because the opportunities he had were presented through his connections and relationships. The moral of that story was that "you can just sit back and things will happen for you, although that doesn't seem like the person you are," to which I replied, "Yeah, I generally like to pursue things." Soooo basically I feel as though he is going to write in his report that I am not very fit and compatible for the school, which I don't really care that much about because I don't think I would go there anyway.

So there!
