It's Been a While......
I've been reading you all every day (sometimes commenting) but I've been so swamped with work and family stuff during the holidays that I've not felt very inspired to write. Here's a brief synopsis:
Work- I start the year with a substantial raise (a 1/3 increase in salary) but lots more responsibility. I'm still not "Full-time" yet but that's OK, because it frees me up to continue working in my studio.
Studio- Going good. I'm mixing a school concert that I recorded during the holidays....should be done this week. I recorded our church program (48 tracks), mixed it in a week and, if I say so myself, it sounds pretty darned good for such a quick mix. I start a sound-for-video project this week (voice-overs, backing music) for a local chamber of commerce promo. Boring but decent money.
Personal life- Doing good. Started back on my diet (gotta loose 30 lbs.) this week and I'll start mild exercise in a day or so....The family is well enough, although my 30 year-old son acted 3 at Christmas. Don't ask....
I hope you all have a great New Year and all of your dreams come true. Give to a charity (even if it's just $1.00) that will go to the tsunami victims. Pray for the surviviors...we've not heard the last of the horror.
