GP Denver
Flying out to Denver to judge the Grand Prix. As a bonus surprise, I found out on Monday that no shift is available for me on Friday! Thanks for letting us know at the absolute last minute, dudes. :( Oh well, a lot of other people got caught out the same way, so I'll try to make the best of it. I hear there's a Super FNM. I don't think I've been less excited to travel to a tournament before, due to extenuating circumstances and difficulty with the organizer relating to an earlier event, but hopefully once I'm on the ground and talking to people face to face things will be better.
Also, every time I use the word hopefully incorrectly, I think of that part in Timequake where Kurt Vonnegut points out that it shouldn't be used that way, and I feel dumb for not bothering to find a way to construct the sentence correctly. (It was in that book, right? I can't find a reference after some half-assed Googling.)
Last but not least, I just wrote a desc for a Steamed Vegetable Dumpling on DustMARE. Baby steps. ;)
