Forgot to  post about this.. on December 26th ( second day of Christmas), I had dinner with Michael's whole family. So the past few days there has been alot of wind.. alot alot of wind. The wind chill factor has brought the temperatures down into the negatives. Today, Michael and I went to the stores and we walked against the wind down there (It is about -12C right now which is about 10F) and it was so cold, it made my eyes tear up. Well Michael and I went into Örebro yesterday to the tax office to get me an ID card. We ran into one little stumbling block as it seems that Sweden does not recognize US passports as a form of identification. If we had waited 6 months then there would be no question over whether or not I was who I said I was, but because we had gone for the ID  ( Read more... )

Ahh.. I've arrived in Sweden, safe and sound and have slept for nearly 14 hours, I need another nap at some point today, but first Michael and I need to go to the Tax Office , bank and grocery store and of course to pick up some beer as well.. It  is wonderful to finally be home!!

I leave for Sweden in about 13 hours.  I am nervous.. anxious.. have a stomach filled with butterflies.. but most of all I am excited and beyond happy! I will post again, once I get settled...goodbye!

Got my plane ticket!! I am one step closer to leaving!!!

Michael got a letter yesterday from the Swedish Migration Board... my application for permenant residence has been APPROVED!!! I am going HOME by the end of October 2010!!!!!
