Poor Centralia

Ok, talk about weirdness, Centralia isn't having much luck lately. Last Monday (A week ago today) the building next to us caught on fire and destroyed almost half of the city block. They think it could be electrical but the thing that really irks me is that the smoke was so bad and the fire was pretty intense at times that we thought we should be evacuated. The fire department said they were scared if ever we were to catch on fire, they would be mortified since we have a bunch of paint, chemicals, paper, ect. Well, we were not evacuated and come to find out that the ashes were warm when they came on our building and started melting parts of our roof. We just found out today. That's just creepy. We could have been on fire and they didn't evacuate us, warn us or even look.

In the building next to us(part of the building that burned down) is a restaurant called Mama Antonia's. That poor guy had problems last year with the sewer backing up into his basement, then after he fixed that, the flooding destroyed his basement again and now he had fire damage to his restaurant. The good thing is that he was able to salvage most and he's going to reopen in the same place in a couple of weeks. That poor guy. The food there is REALLY good.

And the cherry on the top is that someone ran their car into Taco Bell in Centralia over the weekend. FIrst someone backed into Kirlins about a year ago, then someone ran into Farm Fresh not too long ago, now Taco Bell...Is Centralia the only place that has people backing or running their cars into buildings??? LOL, JJ.

*New Addition*

I forgot to mention that about a year ago their was a restaurant (Green Grill) caddy corner from us (straight across from this half block that burned down) that had a fire. If there isn't a fire, there's a car running into a building.
