My Strongest Suit
Since the day when Toshi-chan has arrived, I've been dressing him with the best suits that I could get for him. As a handsome young man, he should wear the best to suit him, because "dress has always been my strongest suit."
Now I'm going to show his wardrobe. ^_~
1. Hijikata's default outfit
It's a reproduction of Hijikata the Hukuchou's military uniform in mid 19th century, Japan. It's said the design was French. Anyway, I think the coat is a kind of frock-coat. Usually, Volks' outfits have larger size than they had claimed, and so does this default suit, but in all it's a detailed reproduction, even contains a pocket watch.
2. Volks Tailcoat
It's not traditional at all, but stylish and fashionable. The fabric is glistering, and the shirt is beautiful too. However, as the pics show, the outfit is overlarge.
3. Williams' default outfit
The fabric is gorgeous, and I like the gloves. It's an official uniform in the 19th century, England, but somehow it makes me think of equestrian suit for the elegance.
4. Flapper's casual suit
It's Toshi-chan's first Flapper outfit, and he becomes her fan since then. This suit is quite casual and modern, and the pants are most frequently worn.
5. Flapper's classic coat
I fell in love with this coat as soon as I saw the promotion pics. The cut and pattern are classical, and I think it's somewhat a frock-coat. However, I've tried to match it with other shirts, ant it's too difficult. *sweat*
6. Volks formal classical suit
I think it's the first time Toshi-chan dressed formally. He was dressing up for a wedding, at which he would be the best man. However, at the next day's wedding, he turned out to be the most formal man at the ceremony, so he had to pick up the white rose pinned on his chest. XD
7. Sadol school uniform
This set is very neat, and the cut is perfect. I bought this dark brown one so as to get a touch of Gryffindor in Harry Potter. However, the jacket is easy to be attached by dust. =_=
8. Sadol white suit
I bought this suit for Toshi-chan and Sou-chan's wedding. It's casual, but it's good enough to be a bridgegroom's wedding suit. However, since I bought it two years ago, the white fabric is now yellowing.
9. Freedom Teller luxurious suit
As the name suggests, this suit is the best made I've got. The cut and fabric are perfect. However, it's not very traditional in its sleeves and shirt.
10. Sadol prince uniform
Some people call it military uniform, but I don't agree. It's exactly the same style with the king and other aristocrats's in the movie series Sissi. The decorations on the suit are detailed and delicate. However, according to what I saw in the movies, there should be an actual belt on the waist, not a fake embroided one.
11. SS uniform
I'd been always wanting an SS uniform, and here is the most detailed I could get. The german uniforms were amazing, but since it means something evil, this suit is somehow unlucky in my opinion. There's some problem with the dealing, and also some so-called WW2 fan critised the mistakes on the uniform, which made me really unhappy. Many people can't understand the making of SS uniform for BJD. Some said it's easy to make BJD suits in an afternoon if they have the pattern. The PATTERN! Alright, if you could have! Don't say it's easy, making a NEAT BJD pattern is very difficult! Don't skip the hardest thing with such a casual way, OK? Secondly, some people said the decorations were easy to make. Don't say it's EASY again, OK? You have to order them in bulk from a factory, and the price quadriples comparing to that of a whole suit. Anyway, this SS uniform is much more detailed and original compared with other dealers' uniforms.
12. Freedom Teller British coat
The coat is quite classical and neat. The only defect is attaching dust easily.
13. Puff&cool pink tailcoat
It's Toshi-chan's first PC purchase. The cut is perfect and the design is classical and traditional. The defects are plain buttons and overlong jacket sleeves. As for the pink fabric, it wrinkles easily, but I can iron the suits before Toshi-chan dressing again. BTW, pink suit is informal, but it's suitable for Valentine's Day.
14. Puff&cool black tailcoat
This is Toshi-chan's favourite and most luxurious suit so far! It makes Toshi-chan look so gentleman, elegant, tall and slim! There is only one pity that I don't have a white vest to match this suit. Getting this suit is very fortunate, for it didn't show in PC's store, but after I bought the pink tailcoat, and asked her if she had black and white tailcoats, she said she had one set for both colours. Although it's expensive to buy two at the same time, such a change was rare, so I got them.
15. Puff&cool white tailcoat
Although it's said the lighter the colour is, the more informal a suit is, I think the white tailcoat is even formaler than a black one. The occations of wearing a white one are being a bridgegroom or a musician at a concert, which are less than those of a black one. The white-tailcoated Toshi-chan reminds me of a prince! Gosh, he's indeed a Prince Charming! Love!
And there will be equestrian outfits, both black and white sets, hopefully at the end of this month. Equestrianism always reminds me of English aristocrats, perhaps under the influence of some British men clothes brands. Anyway, I'm looking forward to them!

To tell you the truth, I was laughed at by people many years ago because of a post on a doll forum. I expressed my idea of "the strongest suit," but was laughed at by others because I bought Toshi-chan and Sou-chan expensive clothes, but they still looked "ugly." I don't deny that I was "once bitten twice shy," so I always am dressing my boys carefully and heart-devotedly. I think the way of loving my boys, esp. Toshi-chan, is to pay time on him as much as I can. So I will dress him up beautifully and company with him if I have time. I love photographing him because I want to record his beauty, as W. Shakespeared said, "So long as men can breathe or eyes can see, [s]o long lives this and this gives life to thee." And also Oscar Wilde believed that art creation can reveal more beauty than we can see in nature. I don't know nowadays whether there are still people understanding this, if you don't, than stop your reading here. And BTW, I don't understand you, EITHER.
Anyways, when it's with Toshi-chan, I always am keeping the theory of "the strongest suit." He's strong when he dresses up beautifully, and dress has always been his strongest suit!
