Dear Lord, but I hate summer colds. I feel -- icky. That's pretty much the best way I can describe it.

. . . we went to see Tobias Wolff speak tonight at Book Passage in Corte Madera.

He read Bullet in the Brain, which is one of his stories that never fails to blow my mind, and also a new story from his collection that came out this spring, and he was awesome. Funny, generous, and very, very smart, with a really good rapport with the audience. It ( Read more... )
