O Come, O Come Emmanuel . . .
Happy first Sunday in Advent!
I usually try to do something every year to celebrate the wonders of the coming season, but since this coming season involves a cross-country flight and a lot of surgery for both my parents, I'm not going to promise anything formal (heh, I just realized that I owe a few people stories from last Advent, so maybe it will be like a time-delay. Or something.)
In the meantime, I'm going to try to at least throw a little something up every day while I can.
Tonight, it's a few recs. Who doesn't need to take a break and read a good story now and again, during this busy time of year?
First, in case you didn't get a chance to see it over your busy Thanksgiving holiday (or, as non-U.S. flisters like to call it, The Weekend), the lovely brandywine421 has written an awesome post-apocalypse story for bandomrarepair: Daisy.
There's no way that I can even begin to be objective, as I've been cheering it on for months, but I think it's swell.
Continuing in the vein of things that are unusual, takkatakkatakka wrote a sweet little Brendon/Spencer magical realism story called The Weather Outside.
And even though I am not usually a giant fan of the always-a-girl trope, boweryd and fallintosilence wrote hot, sweet, amazing fic featuring bb!Ryan and always-a-girl!Spencer: I Wish You Could See It From Over There
Speaking of hot, fictionalaspect wrote bb!panic OT3, in which Spencer and Ryan give Brendon some new experiences, in Bad Romance.
And finally, the always-amazing airgiodslv manages to combine cartoons, porn and masturbation in ways both sweet and sexy in Oh Baby Yeah
