[Kafuka had went to bed as happy as can be the night before, and happened to wake up here in Mayfield. She had initially started out confused. After all, it wasn't her room and as she took a peek outside, it didn't appear to be her neighborhood either. Had she been kidnapped? No way! That kind of stuff never really happens, does it?

Maybe, while she was sleeping that night, her parents moved her into a new house! It would make sense to her as she left her room to observe her new surroundings. Look! There was a sign on the door that said "Kafuka's Room"! That had to be right, of course. Everything seemed to be different, almost as if she were in a different country as well. This must be a really nice house.

And aww, look at that. It's a family portrait! It's just her, and her... parents...]

Oh? What's this? [She says, not aware if anyone can hear her or not. Those definitely were not her parents... but the picture seemed nice! Something so nice couldn't be that wrong, could it?]

Ah! Could this possibly be... a family exchange program? My parents must have surprised me with a new family to be with for a while!

[She smiles.] They look so nice. I can't wait to meet them!
