i'm thinking about making extra money by taking on freelance writing jobs. have any of you had any experience with casual freelancing? i could use some tips for getting started. mostly, i need help with putting together a portfolio of writing samples. the writing i've done has been fan fiction, this blog, and school projects, so i don't think there's much there to cull from, but if there is, i'd love to know which bits would work best.
i figure the only part-time job i could stick to at this point would be one i could do while lounging about without pants on. my biggest fear is that i tend to clam up pretty fiercely when it comes to deadlines or situations where i feel pressured. but that is a challenge i would like to learn to overcome.
