Got my music in today. Origanly as a way to flirt with and Air Force captain, I ordered the sound track to 'Last of the Mohicans' a little while ago. It's ripped to my computer, listening now as I write. I love this music, so subtely powerful and breathtaking. The repeating melody the violin lays down as part of the main theme is hypnotic, like it's evoking the love and passion of the entire story in just a few slow notes. The swells of music and emmotion that ebb and flow feel like it's tapping into something a lot more powerful and ancient than just humanity.

Which made the writing quite an experiance. Geeky Girl finally came out and said that she's sub, thinks I'm domme, and if our respective partners lets us, wants me to dominate her first chance we get. I say finally because I didn't make it easy on the poor girl, but I didn't havea choice. 1) I don't want to loose a good friend, and it's rare to find a girl that's smart (billiantly intelligent is more like it) mature and level headed, and so damn cute/sexy. 2) I work with her, can't screw it up. 3) I work with her boyfriend who's a bit touchy, can't screw that up. So while I made my attraction and availibility to her obvious, I didn't push things at all, letting her make the moves (well, there was the one time at gaming when I started in on her neck, but I was drinking and it wasn't for long). And wouldn't just know it, but how did it all start? Metallica lyrics. I have a long, long history with that band.
Now, if we can just be on the same base...

Work has been very interesting today. The unit I'm working with wanted to do, let's call it 'A'. But before they can do A, my unit (3rd division) has to do B. Well I asked them to do B, but they have a flow chart that says before they can do B, they have to do H, G, 34, Pi, and Dog (yeah, that's about how much sense it made). It was fun to give this unit updates on my unit, and seeing the looks of utter confusion in their faces. I love it.

And had a good moment. One of the officers I work for puts out a product for missions, on it states a specific unit's name and call sign. Wel, he put the old unit's name but the new unit's call sign on it. I ask him which one does he mean, 'What?' so I explain the discrepency. He looks at my like I suddenly started singing the Sound of Music in Swahili. I make the calls, confirm the unit identity, and inform him of what goes where and he thanks me profusely. He's not a bad officer, but still new in the position so needs some help occasionaly.

Oh, and I just may loose a game of scrabble to said Geeky Girl. Yes, I know, oh how the mighty have fallen (I am ruthless at scrabble, and spent many years honing my skill with a family of bibliophiles). The wager on the game is winner picks drink, looser buys. Yeah, so if I loose the game I have to buy her a drink. I'm not seeing where I loose either.
