I don't know how much it's making the news, but it's been a regular party over here the past couple days. One of the big insurgent groups that's been trying to get into the mainstream politics of Iraq has either blown up or imploded. Meh, its more of a pain in the ass than anything else. Mar through Aug is usually interesting for us over here. Sadly it would seem the rockets start to fall, so do the brains of the leadership. We are now having to wear IBE to and from the dining facility. Mind you, we have had warnings in the past and nothing came from it but since someone was hurt...OMG!

Whats funy is, someone in our leadership chain saw some of us NOT in IBE and sent an email out stating the directive had been put out, please follow it. A servicemember was wounded by shrapnel to the leg from a round. I SO wanted to reply with, "guess wearing IBE didn't help him either" but thought better of it.

I did ride over to Slayer and Liberty yesterday. Had to update badge and attend a meeting. I was not overly impressed with "Wal-Mart."

Yeah, command just goes overoboard about it without thinking about the details.

So how are you doing down there with all the incoming? I know from the reports that the IZ has been getting hit pretty hard (though yesterday seemed to be not so many).

What's there to be impressed with at the PX? Yeah, it's the largest in country but that's not say ing much.

He has Skype (a program I really never liked before) on his laptop and it only cost him two cents a minute to call home. Then he and Kathy did a three way call. I was so excited. Only bad part was he called during a timed Algebra test so I got two answers wrong because I was so excited I entered them into the program wrong. Oh well my written work should get that corrected. I hope you two get to meet up before you come home. He got confused when he was on your end of things the other day and thought your last name was Sage. I corrected him, so maybe he will get ahold of you now. I gotta run - Julie is picking me up to go over to her house and wait for Doug to get of work, then we are going to the carnival in Joplin!! I miss you.

yeah, ssendas got me to start using it and I love it. if both sides have it then it's free. And th video works a lot better than yahoo ever has. Unfortunately, my wife can't seem to figure it out so I can't see my daughter through webcam.

Does he ever get over to Camp Victory?

I wish you would have told me - as much as I detest the program I would have gotten it to talk to you!! Brat!!! Grrrrrrrrr!!!

He said he was over there the other day.

We didn't have a whole ton of fun the weather sucked, but they are staying in town an extra week so we will go next week.

Don't worry about it, not like I'm dying to use it, just would be nice to see my little girl a bit more often.
