http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/honor

what does it mean to "honor your parents"?
do we mean "obey"? cause if so, i think im a little old for that, plus i realized fairly early on that my parents are quite human and make mistakes, so to blindly obey is out of the question.
giving them respect i agree, but does that come with room to disagree with them?

how do your actions honor your parents? how are they *supposed* to? are we accountable to them with how we live our lives because of how much they invested in us?
what about if they didnt invest that much?
what if we really really dont want to become a doctor?

what about my daily situation of honoring one parents means dishonoring the other? who do i choose?
(usually my mother)
or if honoring your parents means doing something immoral? or more iffy, what i face every single time i go home, honoring my parents means standing by while they do something i perceive as wrong.

what if i totally disagree with their parenting techniques and think that they are directly causing harm to my siblings?
