[ Doesn't really notice at first, intent on working on the rug currently draped partially over his lap. It's some hideous paisley thing but Dean doesn't care.

He gets the sense he's being looked at, though, and glances up. ]

Afternoon. [ Offers a mock salute with his paintbrush, almost smearing paint on his face. ]

[ A pause of hesitation. Decides on being vague. ]

[ That might do it, but asking that causes his eyes to narrow a fraction. He's suddenly very conscious of where he's slipped the sterling silver carving knife behind him. ]

He spoke of demons as well.

[ He's still suspicious, but keeps himself loose and calm. ]
