Harry walks up behind them, having just woken up from a nap. He hasn't slept this much in... possibly ever. It's like his body is catching up from years of deprivation.
"Hey..." He grins, because its his mum and his godfather. What could be better? "What are you doing? Studying or something?"
"Hello, dear," Lily says, smiling up at him. "Research, sort of."
"It appears," Sirius says, pulling a face, "that Voldemort may have left some things in place to keep his soul around even if his body couldn't be dealt with. Bloody bastard couldn't make it easy for us, could he?"
"Very, very unpleasant things," Sirius says, and pushes some of the papers at him. "You still have him to deal with in your time, yes? Maybe this will help."
Lily doesn't even open her mouth to TRY to protect him. Hell, they have to deal with it at 15, no reason to try to shelter him.
Harry is more than thankful that they're not trying to protect him. He's so tired of being protected he might just get sharp with his own mother, but probably not because he's still so grateful to have her.
He reads the papers, shaking his head. "Bloody hell. So as long as these things are out there... he can always come back?" Harry sighs. "Wonder how many he made. It can't be easy to tear your soul apart like that.... though it does explain a bit, about why he's so weak now. Why he had to possess Quirrel."
"Erm, yeah." Harry nods, looking up at Sirius. "He was our Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher first year, always wore a turban, and... it was cause Voldemort's face... was on the back of his head. Tried to kill me while I played Quidditch, nearly got the Sorcerer's Stone for Voldemort."
"Well, he was possessed by Voldemort at the time. If it wasn't for Snape and Hermione, I probably would've been killed." Harry shrugs, looking at the papers again. "Anyway, he's dead now."
"Yes, I met her! She finds this whole place intellectually fascinating." He grins. "Typical."
Harry turns to Sirius and shrugs. "Dunno. I'm definetly his least favorite student in class. At first, I thought he had been trying to kill me, not Quirrel. Dumbledore trusts him for some reason or another though."

"Swotty Ravenclaw bloke four years beneath us."

"Well clearly I need to hex his grundies."
"He hasn't done it yet, Sirius."
"Call it a preventative measure."

You'd think that question would have come from Sirius, but no.

"Er... yes. Potions class." He shakes his head in awe. "Ron would love you, best he ever comes up with for Snape is stupid git."

Lily rubs her temple. "So. I assume he teaches Potions, as he's utterly inept at everything else."

"He's a brilliant teacher, although I do wish his attitude were better. Harry, have you done his summer homework yet? I'm almost finished."
