He's been hiding in the Inn for a couple weeks. Yes, he's been home to take care of Laura, see to things at Today For You, and generally be a Responsible Human Being, but every moment that he is not needed (which is about an eighth of what he would like) he has closeted himself in the Inn, working on Various Things.
Walking down from upstairs, he eyes the "How do you measure two years in the life" banner a bit warily, but just sits down and thinks up some dinner.
Half an hour later, he's joined by a costume-wearing Peter. Looks like someone's doing more Shakespeare.
