Cosmo does not agree with this assessment. The narration isn't quite sure what got him out of the computer lab and back to school, but something did, and now he's back, settled in at a table and poking at his homework. (Hey, the inn's a place that give you more time to do stuff. Why not use it to get the unpleasant stuff out of the way?)
But just because he actually likes doing his homework doesn't mean he couldn't use a distraction.
