Young Peter, who entered just a few minutes before, looks delighted and out of breath. He grins at Regulus.

"Well, you're in a good mood! And I see you've got the paper. I haven't seen one all day." Mostly because the Healers and the patients get first crack at the newspapers. Trainees are the lowest of the low. "What's it like at Hogwarts? Everyone's going mad in London."

"Have a look, then - it hasn't got the best bit, though." Regulus hands over the paper, still grinning. (Granted, that's not likely to stop for a while.)
"Dumbledore saw the news and gave himself a heart attack just as the house elves delivered breakfast. Faceplanted into his porridge."

A flabbergasted expression, followed by an explosion of laughter. "Are you kidding? That's fantastic! He actually died of heart failure? I didn't know he HAD one."

Probably not the best reaction to the news that one's former Headmaster has bitten the dust, but definitely the most honest one.

"Evidently it was in there somewhere. Fitting end for Britain's greatest wizard who never did anything to earn the praise, I think.
"Anyway, that's about the state of things at school - quite a bit of rejoicing over today's headline, a fair amount of mourning over tomorrow's headline for those so inclined, and the batch of students who were looking to join the Death Eaters wondering what to do with themselves now. There's no official word on who;s taking over from Dumbledore, but I suspect it'll be McGonagall."
But that's all right. She has a brain and she's not afraid to use it.
