Not wishing to be too early and thus ruin the game by speaking with Terrence before the show had started, Theo headed to the penthouse to take his time getting ready for the opera. That gave him rather a better opportunity to get stoned and relax and have a proper bath, which would resultantly make him much better at the seduction portion of the proceedings. And, of course, his truly spectacular clothes were there rather than at Luna's, as Luna probably wouldn't have much use for a tuxedoed Theodore

Terrence had started to become quite anxious, trying very hard not to fidget or anything -- some small amount of excited wriggling could be chalked up to his being the wide-eyed ingenue who was permitted to be there by the generosity of his mentor, but he didn't want to overdo it. Besides, if he was too obviously eager, then the game wouldn't be quite as fun, as it really wouldn't be a seduction at all, would it?
Of course, what he was saying and what he was doing were two different things, as he was perched on the edge of his seat, teeth sinking into his lip and fingers fiddling with his gloves as he peered out from under the brim of the unfamiliar hat atop his head, eyes flicking from side to side as a caged animal's would. Arthur, however, seemed quite amused by this, and he patted Terrence's arm with a there, there, old chap, it will start soon enough before settling back in his seat with an indulgent head-shake

Theodore never had to try very hard to slip into the rôle of jaded and seductive toff. Tonight was proving to be more of the same. As the show began, Theo forced himself to pay proper attention, lorgnette held almost negligently before his eyes as he gazed at the stage. Admittedly the music was beautiful, and admittedly the production design was handsome, but it was hardly his first visit to the opera, and hardly so grand that it impressed
( ... )
The first pizzicato notes of the overture had managed to distract Terrence sufficiently to where he had mostly stopped fidgeting and embraced his character. He actually hadn't ever seen an opera from a box before, and his knowledge of the opera was mostly limited to the performances he'd managed to catch between jobs and days with his more athletically inclined friends who would rather die than be forced to attend a cultural event of any sort. Music wasn't something his family had ever really encouraged beyond the basics required to make one an acceptable gentleman, but he'd taken to it, and it was...if not a passion, then a definite interest

"Ought we to take our seats then?" Theo asked softly, turning a small, warm grin on Terrence and moving the hand on his back in gentle circles. "Any moment now the show will begin again..."
Guiding Terrence to his seat once more with that hand, he sank into the chair beside him and set aside his cane with faux carelessness. He removed his hat after a moment and placed it atop his cane, then ran his hand through his thick, shiny hair until it fell into a messy wave across his face. Tossing his head to shift it from his eyes, he wriggled a bit to settle more deeply into his seat, then deliberately moved his feet further apart so that one of his knees touched Terrence's. As the lights went down, Theo turned his head to look at Terrence, quite set to watch him for the second act just as he had for the first.
For someone who was always so aware of his physical self, every intricacy of movement, every flex of muscle, every positioning of every limb to maximise weight distribution and minimise air resistance, Terrence found himself painfully unable to figure out what to do with his body now. He felt like every piece of armour he had, every rule of propriety he'd ever learned, and every one of his usual behavioural patterns were completely useless now, and it both thrilled and terrified him. He was fairly certain Theodore would be able to tell as well, just by the tension in his spine and the way his hands clenched tightly in his lap and his teeth worried his lip, subtle things perhaps not so noticeable from fifteen feet away but impossible to miss at fifteen inches. And that measurement was a generous estimate

Oh wow, Theo thought, watching Terrence's gloved fingers push his wild curls into place. He was so beautiful that it hurt to look at him, the same way it hurt to stare into the sun. He couldn't tear his eyes away though -- didn't want to -- and he inhaled deeply to calm himself. His chest heaved and he shuddered with the effort to control himself, the music seeming to taunt him as it took Terrence's attention from him
( ... )
Terrence had to keep reminding himself to breathe, even his body's autonomous actions failing him in the face of so much delicious tension. It was as if he could feel his pulse in every inch of his body as his heart struggled to keep pumping blood through his veins, and every nerve ending sang with awareness as a result. The little touches, the solidness of the knee pressed against his, the barest caress of the arm against his shoulders -- it was all enough to make him lose his mind. His vision blurred from the lack of oxygen, and as he opened his mouth to inhale, he felt Theodore's foot sliding against his; he sucked in a sharp breath that made his chest burn, and exhaled it on a quietly throaty, shuddering moan as their legs pressed against each other and Theodore's warmth seeped into his already-burning skin, making him feel nigh feverish with desire.
He wanted. He couldn't remember wanting anything as badly as he wanted Theodore, not in an extremely long time, if ever, and he was certain Theodore had to know it, if not from the

A brilliant smile lit up Theodore's face and he darted in to kiss Terrence's mouth one last time. Then he bent and collected hat and cane, putting the one on his head and taking the other in his hand as he climbed down from the Phaeton and walked around to collect Terrence. His pulse raced as he felt Terrence's weight settle beside his, his heart beating faster still as he slid an arm around Terrence's waist just beneath his jacket. Biting his lip to keep himself grounded, he gazed sidelong at Terrence, his grin still firmly in place behind the caught lip

Terrence was sure his face was roughly the colour of a plum at this point, his blush so intense that it was making his vision blur and his hearing diminish to the roaring of blood in his ears. But the curious (and occasional disapproving) looks he was getting only made him hold his head up higher, shift his shoulders back more as his spine pulled straighter, and look right back at them, daring them all to comment. Embarrassed as he was, he wasn't at all ashamed. He was proud to be here with Theodore, pleased at the unexpected but very welcome turn of the evening, and, for a moment, he was overcome with the desire to push Theodore against the wall of the lift in plain view of everyone, to slide his hands beneath his jacket and press their hips together and open his mouth against the underside of his jaw and

"Ohhhh," Theo gasped, arching back into Terrence without meaning to. "Oh god..."
He licked his lips as his eyes drifted closed for a moment, letting his body relax into Terrence's arms and his arse press back into the hard heat of Terrence's erection. If he didn't get the door open soon, he'd end up surrendering right here in the corridor to something he'd never intended to feel. Bracing himself and grasping at his tattered dignity, Theo finagled the lock open and pushed open the door, half-stumbling across the threshold with something very like relief. He looked back at Terrence with a daring smile that hid the apprehension he felt.
"How do you want to do this?" he asked softly, not meeting Terrence's eyes as he pulled off his hat and tossed it onto the side table he'd leaned his cane against. Drawing a slow breath, he forced himself to turn and look at him properly. "I want this to mean something."
The dark fire blazing in Theodore's eyes stoked the flames licking through Terrence's belly until he felt nearly consumed by them, all sense of coherent thought rapidly slipping away from his mind. He knew that was dangerous though, could feel that somehow, there were so many things riding on this, these few deciding moments, and so he forced himself to take a series of deep breaths, sucked in through trembling lips in an attempt to cool his burning lungs

Still growling, Theo pulled Terrence's head to the other side, teeth scraping cruelly over skin and sinking in again and again as he crushed into Terrence. Hitched moans and shaken gasps tore from him as he rubbed his prick against him, every movement dragging his cock against the silk shorts he wore and increasing the pressure building in his muscles and tightening his balls. He pulled Terrence's hair until he was whimpering and savaged his throat with his teeth until the abused flesh swelled purple under his lips. Every noise Terrence made pushed him closer to the edge

Nnnnnggghhhhhhhh.Terrence's thoughts had ceased to be coherent round about the time Theodore started pulling his hair in earnest. The pain of it, the ache radiating outward in stars across his scalp and throbbing through his throat as Theodore's teeth tore at the delicate skin, made him so dizzy he could barely see, could barely do anything but cling to Theodore and ride his furor like riding a riptide. He was certain he was making a complete spectacle of himself, uselessly uninhibited as he was being, but he couldn't seem to care about anything except Theodore's hands in his hair and Theodore's mouth on his throat and Theodore's prick grinding against his hip and

"Ohhh," Theo sighed, looking Terrence over with something very like reverence. "You're perfect. May I--?"
At Terrence's assent, Theo moved closer and ran his hands gently over Terrence's skin. His fingers played lightly over his torso, tracing the definition lines of his chest and abs and running down the knobs of his spine. A sort of strange peace descended on Theodore as he explored Terrence's body, the single-minded hunger of just a moment ago vanished in his excitement at being allowed this privelege.
"Might we take our scotch into the other room, sir? I should like to... perchance attempt a slower pace once more," he murmured, looking up from his examination of Terrence's body to meet his eyes. "I do apologise that I get so out of hand."
Blushing furiously at Theodore's praise, Terrence held still while long, elegant fingers brushed glove-soft and almost hesitant over his torso, flexing his muscles just a bit so Theodore could feel them move beneath his hands. He didn't understand Theodore's fascination, but it made him happy, and it made Terrence happy to make Theodore happy
( ... )
Theodore's words touched something deep inside Terrence, deeper than the sense of understanding brought about by the mere camaraderie of being male, and deeper still than the compassion of a gentleman to a new friend as he began to understand that friend's demeanour. Beneath it all, Terrence could feel Theo, his constant insistence that he wasn't worth the attention, the everpresent frisson of fear that Terrence would grow tired of him, the inability to understand why Terrence would bother with someone like him, and it made his heart ache for the boy who had always felt he would never fit in, and the man who longed so to be wanted but had resigned himself to respect and fear
( ... )
"Oh," Theo said, feeling quite without retort for once.
There were probably things in what Terrence had said that didn't add up, or that could be argued, but he didn't want to think about that right now. What he'd said had resonated with him, sinking deeply into his mind and comforting him somehow that this wasn't less real for Terrence than it was for him. Though he hadn't thought it possible, that made Terrence seem even sexier, sharpening Theo's want and making it more specific; he realised then that he wanted Terrence and for more than just getting off with
( ... )
The slow exploration of his mouth coupled with the adoring way in which Theodore was clinging to him woke something so affectionate within Terrence that he felt the need to protect this glorious creature, delicate in so many ways and so carefully constructed that attempts at replication would be utterly futile. He'd clearly said something Theodore had liked, though, judging by the way Theodore was nigh rubbing against him like a cat, and the thought that he'd been able to help somehow made warmth glow in the pit of his stomach, not displacing the burning heat that was already there, but adding another dimension to it
