Well, I'm still here. I was supposed to move to Portland with a friend in July to fulfill a dream of ten years and start a band. Then it was going to be June. Then it didn't happen at all, and he backed out. I was mad, quite mad. I got over it. I made due to the best of my ability. I got promoted, more or less, twice at work. I think it'd be a very healthy thing if you just treat your community college and local university as your new dream. For most people who don't know what to do with their lives, they have school to look forward to. There, you can meet new people, gain new influences, and be introduced to life paths you never even considered before. Even after you've graduated from school, you'll have connections with people, and even job referrals. You never know what path your life will take you down, but school is the first step for most people.

Maybe you can also make another goal for yourself and your new car - go driving to places you haven't been to before, or you've put off going to, or you haven't seen in a while. They can be local, but why not include new restaurants or coffee shops, or something like that? Mini benchmark goals can keep you happy until you accomplish the overarching goal of finishing school and figuring out what will truly make you happy. Besides, you'll still have a lot of opportunity to meet people in school. And if not, look into a club or two. I don't know if community college offers many clubs, but I'm sure meetup.com has something going on.

You'll be okay. If anything it sounds like you're going to have a much better time than you anticipate. Trying out the new, and going into uncharted territory with your life, is always an adventure of sorts.
